This week was fun!! We started off at west coast park, which is the bestest park ever and hopefully I have more pics of it next week!! But for now, know that we had a awesome zone activity of football and frisbee and ziplines and McDonalds and all was awesome and way way way fun!! 😀 Westcoastbestcoast!!
Then that night we met a potential from missionaries in Klang (West Malaysia) names Y!! He is Rwandan and SUPER cool! He was fascinated by the fact that Christ came to the Americas because he had never heard of that before and was excited to read the Book of Mormon! Wahoo lah!! 😀 I love people. And blessings. And everything!
On Tuesday we had our last district meeting before people transferred, and said goodbye to our beloved district leader: Kiwi Elder Smith. Afterwards we went and met J and GUESS WHAT?! WE MET HER DAUGHTER!! So the young women’s butterfly attacked their house for her daughter S and this week we met her and talked to her! She’s super shy but we are meeting her again next week! Wahoo!!
Later, we went to the Ls for dinner. We had been trying to get N or another investigator to their home with us but couldn’t but when we arrived they had TWO friends there!! Wahoo!!! 😀 So we got ot know them, he’s Christian and she’s Buddhist and he was kind of looking for churches and at the end we shared the Mormon Message with everyone singing “I am a Child of God” and invited them to learn more and it was super sweet! So we contacted him later that week and we’re working on making an appointment!
Later, Elder Bishop texted us two potentials’ numbers from an elder going home. Way to go missionaries!! Going strong until the end!! 😀 So we are following up with those .
On Wednesday we got a text from our beloved Relief Society President Sister R, and she told us she had gone visiting teaching with C to a less active’s (M) wife, named P. And she had agreed to meet with the missionaries!! I LOVE our members!! 😀 I can’t even say that enough!! So we were able to get in touch with her and meet her on Saturday!!
On Thursday we…had an adventure. Her name was A. She is a Chinese auntie who has a bad spine and we offered to help take her to the posb, or in other words the bank. So we had a blast taking her into taxis and malls in her wheel chair and we went grocery shopping and at the end we went to her home and had lunch and she had SO MUCH STUFF in the house! It was interesting, overall. She’s a lonely woman and we were happy we could help her out. 🙂 She gave Sister Alfrey a Buddha paper cutout and I got a windchime. 🙂
On Friday we finished up planning, and then went out butterfly attacking! Later on that night we had a miracle: We finally met Ai, who is a former investigator who we have been trying to meet for almost 6 months now! Miracles do happen!! 😀
On Saturday we almost had 4 appointments. But things happen, people get sick or can’t make it or whatever. So we press on and keep on trucking!! We met with Ai again, with her family. At the end, though, they said they actually were happy with their own church. But they agreed to try to read Moroni 10 just to try and see. So we’re keeping our arms crossed and heads bowed!
In the afternoon we went and randomly knocked on Y’s door and her and her husband were both home!! Y basically said this was a miracle because her husband, E, is usually never home on a Saturday afternoon. So we talked about the sacrament with them and the importance of coming to church and Angelina said she’d try! Wahoo! Then we noticed a box that said “world’s hardest puzzle” on it and asked about it and she basically said that if we could finish it for her father before the year of the horse was up that he’d fully endorse them coming to church and she’d come! #onlyinAsia … So we’ll be a-puzzling! 😀 We’re excited
And on Sunday we got to briefly meet with W! That was nice. We didn’t have time to share a lesson but we did share a prayer. She’s sweet, and we have faith that she can come back!!
I love you all, I love this Church, I love my Heavenly Father and my Savior, Jesus Christ! I know that truly each of us can live again! That we can all obtain the fulness of the everlasting gospel and participate in covenants that can bless us in this life and the eternities to come! Thanks for your support, your love, your prayers!
