Today is nuts so this’ll be short.
So this week was a lot of craziness: found out I was going to Clementi on Monday, went to District Meeting where our epic district leader Elder McCarthy did the hakka, said goodbye to people on Tuesday (though not as many as I’d hoped), packed Tuesday night, and then had a NUTSO day traveling with mine and Sister Lenhart’s luggage all day on Wednesday. Because we both live on the other side of the island from where we were moving. Luckily a member from 1st ward was able to help us by getting the keys from the CCK Sisters (Sister Rama from Madagascar who I lived with before in Malaysia and Sister Taputea from French Tahiti), and holding them for us until we could pick them up. And another member happened to come to the church when we were about to go get Sister Lenhart’s stuff from their house and was able to give us a ride, saving us a TON of time and effort! And I’m learning French because the CCK sisters boith speak French, since Sister Taputea is learning English.
I’m also learning Malay because Sister Lenhart uses it quite a bit, as well as picking up Singlish again which is fun.
So Thursday, Friday, and Saturday were taken up with exploring, getting a phone (we literally did not have a phone for two days because we’re opening up the area), and calling a bajillion people.
On Sunday we met the fantastic Clementi ward!!!! It was so great! I LOVE this ward, they are so strong and so friendly!
And for my birthday I ate food. Sister Lenhart made me a decliious breakfast, I got candy for presents, and the Boyters fed us dinner and chocolate cokes! I love this placer!!! Love you all!!!
