This week was a spiritual high all around. We had zone conference and epic sunday talks and epic planning and it was just great!!
On Monday we had our pre zone conference activity which was a game night with sports like basketball (which I rocked at), Fruit Basket, etc. I got to see everyone from West Malaysia because we were combined for this conference and IT WAS SO GREAT!!!!!
Wonderful Sister missionaries
On Tuesday was zone conference and it was all about having the faith to have miracles. I have realized that we are promised so much in the scriptures and otherwise that if we keep our covenants that we are GUARANTEED the blessings because God cannot lie. This is why obedience brings blessings! In Romans 8:14-15
, it’s cool because it describes how obedience is not slavery but like a child to a parent, and that is why obedience brings freedom. We also had a lot of inspiring talks from leaders and President and I am just so pumped for everything coming up!!! Then that night we went on a contacting blitz and in an hour and a half our zone got 21 potentials. Which was so fantastic!!
On Wednesday we saw L with Sister P and then had a miracle when we went to visit a part member family!!!! Sister W is our wonderful RS president, and her husband is not a member. We went over to cook Sri Lankan food because Sister Opatha is a boss and when we sat down to eat we found out that M (the husband) had never sat down with missionaries before. He had a TON of questions about missionaries and life and etc. It was pretty great. He said nobody had ever cooked for them before, so we found our in!!!! YES!!! I have SO much hope for this family!!!!
On Thursday we had an epic planning and then taught J about family history and temples and eternal marriage. She is a boss at family history, which made it easy, so we took her to the family history library!
On Friday we met with N and then went to a RS activity with her. It was great because since she can’t make it to church a lot she got to know more women and was able to get signed up for the mini groups we’re doing.
On Saturday we worked on our giant map of our area and then went to YSA Got Talent for the stake and took part in a skit, which was so funny. It was actually from Studio C, the one where it’s super awkward and then he ends up proposing and then she accepts it but then rejects it because he doesn’t have a job.
I’m sure there were a lot of tears this week as she left for Clementi. She has loved Sister Opatha.
On Sunday our amazing ward missionary Sister M gave a dynamite talk on missionary work, and how we need to get back to our missionary modes again and not get distracted or so busy!
Sorry this is short and condensed, but we found out transfer news today and I’m opening up the Clementi ward on the west side of the island! Wahoo!! So I love you! And I’m going to go cry now because I’m leaving 1st ward 😦 But I’m also excited for this new adventure!! Love you all!!!!
Just in case anyone wonders if Rachel has lost her personality, this is her waiting to scare her roommate, she said it worked very well when she popped the can to make a loud noise.
